South Africa's Business & Entrepreneurship Movement — Est. 2013, South Africa

Buy Local. Create Jobs.
Hammer Poverty.

Made in SA Boet is not a golf-day brand. It's the Business and Entrepreneurship arm of a bigger South African movement — built on Local Manufacturing, Local Trade, Skills Development and people helping people.

SA Polyhammer — Origin Philosophy
The History

This was built to help Local Businesses grow — together.

The roots go back to a single Entrepreneur's journey as a manufacturer — and a philosophy that outgrew one product, one company and one event.

2013

The Polyhammer is born

Started in a small double garage with three employees. The intention was never just to manufacture a product — it was to build something Local that could create employment.

2017

Made in SA Boet goes public

Already described as an initiative promoting Local Businesses, networking and keeping resources circulating within South Africa.

2018

The 5th Annual Golf Day

Around 168 golfers and a network of Local Businesses come together on the course — proof the philosophy could scale into a practical, repeatable event.

2024

Still evolving, still collaborating

Involved in collaborative golf initiatives including the BESA Leadership Academy event at Eye of Africa — a decade on, the concept survives and grows.

Buy Local. Create Jobs. Hammer Poverty. 🇿🇦

South Africa doesn't only need people looking for jobs — it needs people creating Businesses that create jobs. Manufacturers, tradespeople, Engineers, Innovators, Entrepreneurs and small-Business owners. And those Businesses need customers. That's where Made in SA Boet comes in.

Vision & Mission

An ecosystem where South African Businesses support South African Businesses.

Our Vision

One of South Africa's strongest Business-support networks.

Connecting Entrepreneurs, manufacturers, SMMEs and communities so Local Businesses grow, people find Opportunities and more South African jobs get created. Bigger than Gauteng. Bigger than golf. A national network for South African Entrepreneurship — the place where "I need a supplier," "I need a mentor," or "I have an idea" always finds a Boet or Beaut who says "I can help."

Our Mission

Connect Local Business to Opportunity.

Through golf days, networking events, collaborations, mentorship, Entrepreneurship programmes and Community initiatives — not so networking simply means exchanging Business cards, but so relationships turn into trade, growth, skills and jobs.

Business Trade Growth Skills Jobs Stronger Communities
Six Goals

Formalising the movement.

From individual golf days to a national model — six goals that hold the whole organisation together.

01

Support Local Business

Create Opportunities for SMMEs and established Businesses to meet, collaborate, refer work and trade with one another.

02

Create Jobs

Encourage Entrepreneurship and Local Manufacturing, because sustainable Businesses create sustainable employment.

03

Develop Entrepreneurs

Use experience, mentorship and practical education to help people start, survive and grow a Business.

04

Develop Skills

Connect young South Africans with practical skills, industrial Entrepreneurship and people who've actually built Businesses.

05

Connect Business & Community

Use the strength of the network to support schools, individuals, charities and Community initiatives.

06

Build a National Network

Take the model beyond individual golf days — connecting Businesses across Gauteng, the Eastern Cape, KZN and the rest of South Africa.

The Movement

Made in SA Boet started with the Business. Howzit Boet started looking at the person behind it.

Somewhere along the journey you realise the oke employing 20 people might be struggling himself. Made in SA Boet asks "how can we help your Business?" Howzit Boet asks "but Boet... how are you?"

Building Businesses

Made in SA Boet

Local Manufacturing, Local Trade, networking and Entrepreneurship — the foundation the whole movement stands on.

Building People

Howzit Boet / Howzit Beaut

Looking after the person behind the Business — because the Entrepreneur everyone thinks has made it might be lying awake wondering how he'll make payroll.

Making Sure They're Heard

#SpeakUp

Making sure people know they don't have to struggle in silence.

The Result

Community

Using stronger people and stronger Businesses to build a stronger South Africa.

UMatter

Stronger together.

Proudly partnering with movements that build people, encourage honest conversations and remind every South African that they matter.
